I Love the '70s

Encyclopedia : I : IL : ILO : I Love the '70s

I Love the '70s is a television mini-series originally produced by the BBC, and later for American audiences by VH-1 which is the sister series to I Love the '80s and explains such stories about the 1970s. I Love 1970 premiered on 22 July 2000 in the UK, with the final part I Love 1979 premiering on 23 September 2000. In the United States, the series premiered on August 18, 2003. A sequel, I Love the '70s Volume II, appeared in the United States on VH-1 beginning on 10 July 2006.

It is worth noting that the BBC series included several factual inaccuracies, with features on items actually released in the 1960s or the 1980s, touted as 1970s pop culture/fads. Some accusations of "rosy coloured specs" and "70s hype" followed. This tendency also occurred in the VH-1 versions.
