"I Wanna Rock" is a song from the album Stay Hungry (1984) by the heavy metal group Twisted Sister. It was later covered by punk rock outfit Nancy Vandal. A different song under the same name was played by Dr. John, a blues musician, although the two songs have few similarities. The song was voted in at #20 on VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs.

Trivia

In 2004 a parody of this song called "Goofy Goober Rock" was released for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. The movie sequence spoofed several stereotypes of heavy metal music videos. This song also appeared in the 2002 video game as part of its soundtrack.
