Idols is a Finnish television show that started in the end of August 2003. It was produced by FremantleMedia and aired by MTV3. The auditions were arranged in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku. In season two the auditions were also arranged in Oulu. The semifinals started on December 12 and on January 9 Hanna Pakarinen was announced winner. Pakarinen won 30,000 euros and a recording contract with BMG Finland.
The second season of Finnish Idols started in Autumn 2005. Although only 1,479 people auditioned for this season, it was a big success.
