Ilitch Holdings, Inc. was established in 1999 to provide all companies owned by Mike Ilitch and Marian Ilitch with professional and technical services. The couple's privately held business include Little Caesars Pizza, the NHL Detroit Red Wings, the MLB Detroit Tigers, MotorCity Casino, Olympia Entertainment, Olympia Development, Blue Line Foodservice Distribution, Champion Foods, Uptown Entertainment, Little Caesars Pizza Kit Fundraising Program, and a variety of venues within these entities. Ilitch Holdings portfolio of abandoned properties in downtown Detroit include the Madison-Lenox Hotel, Adams Theater, Fine Arts Building, United Artist, Detroit Life Building, Blenheim Building, making them one of downtown Detroits largest abandoned property owners. The combined total revenues for these privately held businesses were reportedly more than $1 billion in 2005.
Christopher Ilitch, one of the pair's seven children, is CEO & president of Ilitch Holdings. Michael and Marian are Chairman and Vice Chairwoman respectively.
The family has established Ilitch Children's Charities (ICC) which, among other things, awards annually the "Little Caesars" AAA Hockey Scholarships.
