Impresario

An impresario (from the Italian, meaning, and also cognate of, entrepreneur) is a manager or producer in one of the entertainment industries, usually music or theatre. "Impresario" also refers to the director of an Opera company.
Figuratively, it refers to anyone who flamboyantly takes a leading role in organizing or orchestrating something intended to entertain an audience, such as music festivals, business conferences, and web sites.
This word is often misspelled as impressario.
The Impresario (Der Schauspieldirektor) is an opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
