Individual sport
Encyclopedia : I : IN : IND : Individual sport
An individual sport refers to a sport which is practiced by two opposing individuals or one individual.
Despite the antisocial/solitary appearance of individual sports, they can still be competitive. For example, such athletes can compete against their own best efforts, without the risks of unhealthy rivalries which are more likely to be cultivated in a team environment.
