Indus Airways

Indus Airways is a regional domestic low-cost airline based in New Delhi, India. Its main base is Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.
History
The airline was established by a group of Indian businessmen and originally planned to launch in April 2005 using Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft. However, the launch was reported as delayed for 2-3 months as the company had yet to acquire five Embraer aircraft from Brazil.
In October 2005 it was reported that "liquor baron" Kapil Mohan, of Mohan Meakins, along with other Indian businessmen, had invested in Indus Airways. They had plans to start services by the end of October 2005 using two Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft leased from Lufthansa. Three more CRJ aircraft were expected by December and a fleet of 10 aircraft was planned, including three Boeing 737-800s and two Bombardier CRJ-700s .
