- Infospace Mobile

History
Infospace was founded in March 1996 by Naveen Jain. The company, at the time consisting of only six employees, built an online yellow pages service, intended to be funded through adverts placed on the website.
The company went public on 15 December 1998 closing at $20 a share on the first day - $5 above the opening price. The company raised $75 million in the offering.
Jim Voelker took over from Naveen Jain as CEO in December 2002. He sold a number of Infospace's businesses to focus on five core segments. Infospace was trading at $22.41 a share at time as of July 2006.
