Injuns are a band from the Isle of Skye on the west coast of Scotland.

Formed in 2003, they learnt their trade in the harsh world of Highland pub entertainment, replacing accordian and fiddle with tight jazz chops, incoherent lyrics, unjustifiable time signatures, and a dancefloor rhythm section.

In 2006, they will be playing at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on May 4th, and at the Isle of Skye Music Festival in June. The have four members:

Hector MacInnes

Hector plays the drums and sings. He writes songs about people who value money over time, people who value big life over long life, and people who value looking good over feeling good. He has also written a song about a sneaky midnight come-on from an aspiring serial killer to his sister, a song about a bitter relationship break-up down at the dog track, with unintentional bestial overtones, and a song about a man who actually DID lose his only girl to a bunch of thugs from another planet.

Leighton Jones

Leighton plays pianos and organ. He writes songs about the war, about hallucinogens, and about a variety of imbalanced mixtures of the two. He also writes simple love songs, complicated love songs, and wrote a song about a pie.

Drew Petrie

Drew Petrie plays the trumpet - exceedingly well. His tone is diamond, his notes are golden. Within the band he is addressed as 'Mr' Drew.

David MacLeod

David plays the bass, and is widely recognised for his ability to travel lying on his back, floating a foot above the ground. He is qualified by the united kingdom cheese guild, and quantified in 15mg increments.

Also featured in the above picture is Claes Cem, Danish guitar virtuoso, songwriter, drinker and gentleman.
