Innovation Place Research Park

Innovation Place is an initiative of the Province of Saskatchewan to construct and operate two research parks, one located near the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and the second in near the University of Regina, in Regina, Saskatchewan. By 2004 over 127 companies were based at Innovation place. Research parks such as Innovation Place are some times referred to as Science parks or Technology parks.
Saskatoon
Saskatoon Innovation Place consists of the following buildings:

- Bio Processing Centre
- Canadian Space Agency Building consists of a large ground station.
- The Concourse is a multi-tenant building.
- Dr. Burton Craig Building.

- L.F. Kristjanson Biotechnology Complex

- 112 Research Drive
- Maintenance/Energy Centre
- National Hydrology Research Centre
- Saskatchewan Research Council

Regina Innovation Research Park
The 78 acre site is located near the University of Regina. This research park emphasis collaborative university and industry research in the areas of information technology, petroleum and environmental science. Currently over 850 people work for the various tenants of the research park.
- ISM Building (1 Research Drive) is a two story building built in 1990 with 80,000 sq feet. The building houses ISM Systems (subsidiary of IBM Canada), and the Government of Saskatchewan Information Technology Office (ITO) Operations division.
- IT Building (2 Research Drive) was built in 1995 with 11,000 sq feet. The building houses McNair Business Development Inc, TRLabs and the University of Regina.
- Petroleum Technology Research Centre (PTRC) (6 Research Drive) is a three story building in 2000 with 70,000 sq feet. This building houses the Saskatchewan Research Council, University of Regina. PTRC offices.
- Titanium Pilot Plant houses a pilot plant of Titanium Corporation Inc.
- The Terrace (10 Research Drive) opened in 2001 with 120,000 sq feet. and houses various tenants.
- Greenhouse Gas Technology Centre is near innovation place and operated by the University of Regina. This 25,000 sq feet building houses the International Centre for CO2 capture and includes a pilot plant.
