International Power

International Power plc is an international electricity generator formed in 2001 by the demerger of National Power. The group's UK businesses were spun off as Innogy and National Power was renamed International Power. International Power was listed on the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange (as ADRs), on 2 October 2000. The ticker symbol on both stock exchanges is "IPR".
After a two and a half year absence International Power rejoined the FTSE 100 Index in March 2005.
The company is a leading independent electricity generating company with 16,642 MW (net) in operation and 1,729 MW (net) under construction, with power plants in operation or under construction in Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Thailand.
International Power is headquartered at Senator House, 85 Queen Victoria Street in the City of London.
