The International Swimming Federation (French Fédération Internationale de Natation, FINA) organizes and regulates international swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and open water swimming championships. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The current President of FINA is Mustapha Larfaoui, of Algeria.

Championships
FINA holds two championships biannually.Long Course
The Long Course FINA World Championship consists of swimming events done in a 50 meter long swimming pool.
Short Course
The Short Course FINA World Championship consists of swimming events done in a 25 meter long swimming pool.
