IWS stands for International Wrestling Syndicate (formerly Internet Wrestling Syndicate). IWS is based out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is owned by "PCP Crazy F'N" Manny Elefethariou, who also sometimes wrestles for the promotion. They have recently branched out to other venues, including most notably the New Alhambra (aka ECW Arena/Viking Hall) Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA in July 2005 and Palace de Congres in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada in September 2005.
IWS is known for its high energy, and new young talent possessing a variety of styles, including fast paced technical and power match-ups. They occasionally have many "deathmatch" style wrestling matches at their shows, such as "fans bring the weapons" matches, which are a popular attraction at one of their biggest shows of the year, "Un-F'n-sanctioned".
IWS is also home base to a lot of stars popular in other parts of the independent circuit today, such as El Generico, Sexxxy Eddy, Franky The Mobster, The Arsenal, "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen, Beef Wellington and The Green Phantom.
An online show entitled Bloodstream, is produced by IWS almost monthly, containing a series of promos and interviews to hype the matches on the card for the upcoming show. Their shows are currently available through wrestling video company, Smart Mark Video.
