Ippolito de' Medici (1509, Urbino – August 10, 1535, Itri) was the illegitimate only son of Cardinal Giuliano di Lorenzo de' Medici.
He ruled Florence on behalf of his cousin Pope Clement VII, head of the Medici house, who increasingly favored his own illegitimate son Alessandro, and made Ippolito a cardinal instead, and sent him as Papal legate to Hungary. Alessandro nevertheless felt it necessary to have his cousin Ippolito poisoned.
