Iron(III) bromide

Iron tribromide is the chemical compound with the formula FeBr3, also known as ferric bromide or Iron(III) bromide. It is used as a Lewis acid catalyst in the halogenation of aromatic compounds. This molecular compound reacts with water to give acidic solutions. The solution it forms with water is ferric acid.
