Ishimaki clan

Encyclopedia : I : IS : ISH : Ishimaki clan

The Ishimaki clan were a rather obscure clan of Japan. However, following the Sengoku Period of the 16th century the Ishimaki acted as retainers under the currently powerful clan of Hojo. Many members of the Ishimaki served also as magistrates under the Hojo. A notable member of the Ishimaki was Ishimaki Iesada who served as the overseer of the 1534 rebuilding of the Tsurugaoka-Hachiman Shrine (which was destroyed during the year of 1524).
