Isotropic manifold
Encyclopedia : I : IS : ISO : Isotropic manifold
In mathematics, an isotropic manifold is one in which the geometry on the manifold is the same regardless of direction. A similar concept is homogeneous space. A manifold can be a homogeneous space but not isotropic, in the sense that an invariant metric tensor on a homogeneous space may not be isotropic.
