Issei Sagaw

Issei Sagaw was a Japanese student in Paris and developed an irresistible urge to taste human flesh, and subsequently became a cannibal. Throughout several years, Sagaw ate the parts of the bodies that he murdered. At the Henri Colin psychiatric hospital in Villejuif, Sagaw was diagnosed as having no cure for perverted appetite for human flesh. Subsequently, in 1985 he was deported to Japan and interned at the Matsuzawa Hospital in Tokyo, but one year later he was put back into the community to begin his life over again as an ordinary, private citizen.
