Itaconic acid

Itaconic acid, or methylenesuccinic acid, is an organic compound that is one of the three acids obtained by the distillation of citric acid. It has the molecular formula C5H6O4 and molecular weight 130.10.
Other acids formed from the distillation of citric acid include citraconic and mesaconic acids.
