Ivailo Marinov

Ivailo Marinov (born Ismail Mustafov on July 12, 1960 in Varna) is a Bulgarian boxer, who won the gold medal at the Moscow Olympics in 1980 in the Light flyweight category, and another Gold Medal in the same category at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.
He won gold medals in the [European Boxing Championships] in 1981, 1983, 1989 and 1991 and silver medalist in 1985. He won the World Cup[link] in the 48kg category in 1981 and the World Championship in 1982.[link]
He won the Olympic gold medal in Moscow under his birth name Ismail Mustafov and won Olympic gold in Seoul under the name Ivailo Marinov Khristov. His name was forcibly changed to Marinov under the Zhivkov regime.
He was picked as Bulgaria's No. 1 Boxer of the 20th Century in a survey conducted by the Bulgarian Association of Boxing Journalists.[link]
