Gibus, J. Was born on the 20 April, 45 B.C. Skilled orator who vigorously opposed the Emperor Augustus during his reign. Was probably under his orders that Augustus's grandson, Gaius Caesar was killed, 11 B.C. As a result was imprisoned on Rhodes for several years before his eventual execution in Sicily, 2 B.C.
