Jnes is an emulator of the Nintendo Entertainment System running for Microsoft Windows. It is coded by Jabo, who is famous for his work on Project64, a Nintendo 64 emulator. The first public release of Jnes, 0.50 beta 1, was on July 7, 2002. It uses DirectX for its hardware interface. Its first release, Jnes also features online play with Kaillera.
