Jacek Bąk

Jacek Bąk (born March 24 1973 in Lublin) is a Polish footballer who plays as a defender for Al Rayyan Club in Qatar, as well as for the Poland national football team.
He made his footballing debut aged just 16, before moving to the top-division Lech Poznań two years later.
In Bąk's first season with Lech Poznań, he won the Polish Championship title, before catching the eye of the Polish coach, who gave him his first international cap against Cyprus. Bąk was transferred to Olympique Lyon in 1995, but failed to emulate in France what he achieved in Poland, because of sustaining many injuries.
He began to play for RC Lens before moving to the Qatar league. He is currently linked with a move to the New York Red Bulls. Bąk earned caps in the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals held in South Korea and Japan and the 2006 finals in Germany. Bąk has appeared 75 times for Poland, scoring twice.
