Jaideep Saikia is a leading security analyst of India. He is also the author of the much acclaimed "Terror Sans Frontiers: Islamist Militancy in North East India, " [Vision Books, New Delhi, 2004] which in the words of South Asia observer, Stephen Philip Cohen, is "One of the most important books on the question of insurgency yet to appear..." Jaideep Saikia is also an acknowledged expert on the ULFA, Bangladesh and Islamist extremism in South Asia. Jaideep Saikia lives in Guwahati, India.
