Jail is a location on one corner the Monopoly game board.

A player is sent to Jail in one of three ways:

• Landing on the Go To Jail space at the opposite corner of the board
• Drawing the Chance or the Community Chest card marked "Go To Jail"
• Rolling doubles three times in succession on a single turn

To leave Jail, they must throw a double on the dice, pay a fine of $50 or use a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card (if they have one) to continue the game. After three turns, they may continue in any case. If a player simply lands on the space, they are Just Visiting (a separate section of the space) and may leave the position normally at their next turn.
