Jaime and Babe

Jaime and Babe were a couple on the soap opera All My Children. Jaime is played by Justin Bruening and Babe is played by Alexa Havins.
These two characters were a popular couple that spanned throughout the early 2000s.
History
Babe and Jaime first met each other on the night she originally came to Pine Valley to meet the family of her newly-wed husband J.R. Chandler. On her first night back a drunken Babe met good-boy Jaime Martin. Jaime was captivated by her and unknowing of each other's existence, they slept together.Jaime had developed feelings for Babe. But he then discovered she was married to his brother J.R. Chandler. Babe begged Jaime not to tell about their drunken affair because she wanted her marriage to work. Jaime understood and didn't say anything.
Later when it was announced Babe was pregnant. Jaime suspected the baby was his and not JR's. J.R. had realized that Babe and Jaime had met before the dinner party and confronted them. Babe lied and said Jaime hit on her and she refused and rebuffed him. While Jaime told the truth and said they slept together. J.R. believed his wife over his brother Jaime.
Babe took a paternity test and it was determined J.R. was the father. Although many fans speculate that Paul tampered with the DNA evidence so it would show that J.R. was the father. When it was announced J.R. was the father Jaime backed off and mended fences with his brother.
Later on during a flood and out in a secluded wooden cabin Babe gave birth to a baby boy who would later be called Little Adam. However before Babe could see her new born or spend time with him he was stolen by Paul Cramerto give to his sister Kelly Buchannan. Which started the Babyswitch storyline. Paul faked an airplane crash and told Babe that her baby had fallen into the river and died. Babe who was still stunned and drugged by Paul didn't understand what Paul was saying. When she snapped out of her daze she begged Paul to save her baby and even proceeded to go down to the river herself to find her new born child but passed. Later on in the story Paul recanted his statement and said that it was Bainca Montgomery's child who drowned in the River.
J.R. soon discovered all of Babe's lies and teamed up with his father to destroy Babe and steal Bess Chandler away from her. Babe found out that Bess was really Miranda Montgormery Bianca's child and assumed that her baby was the one who was dead and the one who had died in the river. Babe was in denial but when it was proven with DNA proof she was distraught and ultimately decided not to tell Bianca about her child being alive and not hurting J.R. by telling him his child had died.
Meanwhile during this time J.R. had taken his revenge against Babe to a new level. He had planned fake kidnappings of there daughter, drugged Babe (who nearly died) and turned her against all that loved her. When Jaime found out about J.R.'s plans against Babe he warned her and told her that JR was out to hurt her and take Bess away. Babe didn't believe him and accused him of selfishly trying to break up her marriage because she chose J.R. over him. J.R. who over heard there conversation framed Jaime as being the one who drugged her. Jaime later got stabbed by a prisoner who admitted he sold JR the drugs he used on Babe that night.
Jaime told Babe and gave her a recorded tape with the confession. Her faith in J.R. was shaken. Babe teamed up with Jaime and Bianca to expose JR's true intentions. Babe set up J.R. into thinking Bianca and her were in a sexual relationship and that she cheated on him once again. J.R. said that he would make sure that Babe never got to see Bess again and when he was confronted with his actions he confessed to all of his crimes.
During that evening it was revealed that JR had taken and kidnapped Bess and taken her to a remote location where no one knew except for J.R. Bess was found eventually and Babe knew she had to give Miranda back to her mother. But she first had to get J.R. out of the way.
With the help of her parents David and Krystal she eventually found her son Little Adam. Who was alive and living in Llanview with the Buchannans.
Jaime found out about Bess being Miranda and confronted Babe about it. Babe was corned and admitted it to him. Jaime was outraged and angered by her actions. Babe tried to reason with Jaime and told him why she did what she did. Jaime over time understood and stood by her. He suggested that Babe write letters to Bianca and J.R. telling Bianca Miranda was really Bess and telling J.R. his son died in the river. So he and her could go on the run with Little Adam. Babe wrestled with the idea and thought about going the legal route but then remember J.R.'s promise to take Bess away from her she wrote the letters.
Unfortunately J.R. intercepted Bianca's letter and burned it and thus keeping Bianca from her baby for multiple months.
While Babe and Jaime were having fun being the 'Andersons' and playing with the baby. Babe found out that Bianca still was reunited with her child. So she put herself on the line to make sure Miranda and her were reunited. Babe told Bianca everything. Babe then went back on the run with the baby.
They were later caught by the police and imprisoned for kidnapping the baby. Little Adam true paternity and maternity were revealed to the court and J.R. and Babe were the mother and Father. From this point the custody battle between the Buchannans, the Careys and the Chandlers ensued. The Chandlers won the custody battle due to the Buchannan's removing the petition for custody and supporting Babe Carey. Babe lost her child due to her illegal acts and crimes.
Babe later returned to the cabin where she birth her child and remembered the day were this all started and broke down and cried. Jaime followed her and picked her up and held her and comforted her.
Later on Babe and Jaime were faced with yet another obstacle. J.R. Revenge on them would effect there living ability, career choices, financial income and education. J.R. had paid off all the colleges in the country and even in Mexico to make sure Jaime could never go to any college, He kicked out Jaime from his local college in P.V.U, he bought Jaime's apartment building and evicted him and barred him from any local jobs. Jaime and Babe had to work out of town to make ends met. Babe working at the 'Roadside Bar' and Jaime working as a mechanic and them living in a one bedroom apartment/garage.
Later on things would prove difficult and the couple experience minor mishaps other couples would.
The next difficulty they would face is Jaime's aunt Pheobe's Will. Which specified that as long as Jaime left Babe he could inherit Pheobe's billions and he could go to college to accomplish his medical dream. Babe was beside herself and wanted Jaime to take his inherited right. But Jaime loved Babe and said he would never give up on them.
Another obstacle in there relationship was Amanda Dillion who was hired by J.R. to break up Babe and Jaime. Amanda played coy around Jaime and acted like Babe's best friend. In reality Amanda was helping inch them apart. She played on Babe's insecurities and guilt about Pheobe's will.
Babe enlisted the help of friend Josh Madden and Amanda to help fake an affair. She planned to make Jaime break up with her by making Jaime think Babe had sex with Josh. The plan didn't work. Jaime saw right threw Babe's act and was irate with her. He was angry that Babe didn't trust his choice and his decisions which ended their relationship.
