James W. Hathaway, born February 18th, 1953, is currently serving as Zone 3 City Commissioner in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, which includes the northern city limits to the southern city limits, west of Riverside Drive and east of the Florida East Coast Rail Road. His Government experience includes: the Florida League of Cities-Administration Committee, member of the Utilities Telecommunications Committee, member of the Volusia League of Cities, and member of the New Smyrna Beach Fire Pension Board.
Biographical Information
James W. Hathaway was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He attended New Smyrna Beach High School, class of 1971. He also graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor's degree in Business. Prior to running the family grocery store, Hathaway spent 8 years in the United States Army Reserve Quartermaster Corps. Currently he is an owner of a Pepperidge Farm franchise. He is married with 4 children and enjoys boating and golfing.External links
