Jane Apreece

Jane Apreece (1780–1855), was a wealthy Scottish socialite and widow who married Sir Humphry Davy in 1812 to become Lady Davy. The marriage was ultimately unhappy and childless.
Born Jane Kerr, the only daughter of spice and sugar merchant Charles Kerr (d. 1796), from Antigua, her first husband, Shuckburgh Apreece (d. 1807), had been the heir to a baronetcy, but died before he could inherit it.
