Janusz Skumin Tyszkiewicz (1570-1642) was a Great Lithuanian Writer (1610+), voivode of Mścisław (1621-1626), voivode of Trock (1626-1640) and voivode of Wilno (1640-1642), starost brasławski, jurborski, nowodworski in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Studied abroad at Padua. Of Eastern Rite faith [link], in 1619 donated some of his possessions in Grodno to the nuns of Order of Saint Benedict.[link].
Son of Teodor Tyszkiewicz and Katarzyna Lacka. Married twice: first around 1595 to Barbara Naruszewicz (1580-1627), daughter of Stanisław Naruszewicz and second, in 1630 to Zofia Zamiechowska (?-1635). One daughter (with Barbara): Katarzyna Eugenia Tyszkiewicz.[link]
