Jawad

Jawad is a town and a nagar panchayat in Neemuch district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Geography

Jawad is located at [24.6° N 74.85° E][Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Jawad]. It has an average elevation of 452 metres (1482 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Jawad had a population of 16,143. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Jawad has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 59%. In Jawad, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
