Jennifer Rankine is the sitting Labor member for the electoral district of Wright.
Since Rankine winning the seat in 1997, she has held portfolios including: Minister for State / Local Government Relations, Minister for the Status of Women, Minister for Volunteers, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister Assisting in Early Childhood Development and Member of the Executive Council.
The 2006 election saw Rankine increase her margin to 15.3%.
