Jerry Tachoir (born August 7, 1955 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania) is a world renowned contemporary jazz vibraphone and marimba performer. Mr. Tachoir has performed at most of the major jazz festivals and concert halls throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. As an artist/clinician for the Ludwig-Musser company division of Conn-Selmer, Jerry has presented jazz improvisation clinics and mallet master classes at many colleges and universities in North America and Europe. Jerry has numerous recordings released with his band the Group Tachoir and is the author of "A Contemporary Mallet Method - An Approach to the Vibraphone and Marimba" published through Riohcat Music.
