The Jewish Virtual Library, is an online encyclopedia which includes about 10,000 articles and 5,000 photographs and maps and deals primarily with Jewish history, Israel, U.S.-Israel relations, the Holocaust, anti-Semitism and Judaism. The site has 13 sections comprising of:

Each of these branches contains numerous subcategories. For example the Religion category includes the complete text of the Tanakh as well as excepts from other Jewish Holy books, descriptions of Jewish holidays, as well as descriptions of the relations between Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

The Encyclopedia also included a chronicle of the state of the Jewish population in every country where they exist in significant numbers. There is also a desciption of the state of relations between Israel and almost every other consequential nation in the world.

The Jewish Virtual Library is a project of the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE) a nonprofit 501(c)(3), nonpartisan organization established "to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship by emphasizing the fundamentals of the alliance." The Executive Director is Mitchell G. Bard.
