Jhalawar District

Jhalawar District has an area of 6928 km², and a population of 1,180,342 (2001 census). The district lies in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan,state and is bounded on the northwest by Kota District, on the northeast by Baran District, and on the east, south, and west by Madhya Pradesh state. The Kali Sindh River flows northward through the center of the district. Jhalawar District is home to many scheduled tribes, including Meenas and Bhils.
