James Steven Ignatius "Jim" Corr, MBE (born July 31 1964) is the guitarist for the Irish folk-rock band The Corrs. He is also the eldest and the only male sibling in the group. Although he is only 5'8", he is still the tallest of the group. The Corr siblings were awarded honorary MBEs by Tony Blair's government in 2006.

He also plays the Acoustic and Electric Guitars, as well as piano, keyboard and background vocals. He has also had an active role in the Production aspects of all of their albums to this present date, working with David Foster and Olle Romo on two separate albums.

Jim currently holds an Irish Private Helicopter's Pilot Licence, allowing him to fly small aircraft such as his Robinson R44 helicopter. He is also heavily involved with charity causes, playing at concerts to raise money for non-profit organisations and appeals such as the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle (where his mother was treated), the victims of the Omagh bombing and the Prince's Trust. Jim and his sisters were also involved in the Live 8 series of concerts, performing at Edinburgh in mid-2005 alongside Bono and other acts such as Annie Lennox, Eddie Izzard and Bob Geldof. He also performed at Nelson Mandela's 46664 concert in South Africa, to help raise awarness of the growing AIDS epidemic in Africa.

In November 2005, he announced his engagement to former Miss Northern Ireland, Gayle Williamson. On May 10, 2006 Gayle gave birth to the couple's first child, a son named Brandon. A wedding date has yet to be announced.

Jim has also posted frequently on a fan website called "The Corrboard", which was later renamed to "The Corrs' Club" after the site changed ownership in late 2005.

He has spoken to individual forum members on this site (such as a fan from Australia called Wallaby) and will normally release official news on this site before it is released by the official site.
