James H. Dean is a U.S. politician. As of February 2006, he is the Chair of Democracy for America (DFA), an organization founded in 2004 by political supporters of his brother, Howard Dean.

Jim Dean is also a member of the advisory board to the Roosevelt Institution.

Before taking over DFA, Dean worked as a marketing specialist for Yankelovich Partners and Greenfield Online.

Dean and his wife Virginia have three children. As of February 2006, they live in Fairfield, Connecticut.
