Jinbo clan
Encyclopedia : J : JI : JIN : Jinbo clan
The Jinbo clan of Etchu province were long retainers of the Hatakeyama clan. Due to this fact, they were constantly at war with the Shiina and the ikko-ikki. After Nagao Tamekage was defeated during the year of 1520, the Jinbo experienced a brief period of local power under Jinbo Nagamoto. However, when Uesugi Kenshin sided with the Shiina, the Jinbo lost their castle, forcing them to become vassals under the Uesugi.
