Joan Copeland is an American actress.
She was born Joan Miller in New York City on June 1, 1922 to a middle-class Jewish family. Her father was a woman's clothes manufacturer and her mother was a schoolteacher and a housewife. She is the younger sister of the late playwright Arthur Miller, and was briefly sister-in-law to Marilyn Monroe.
She has had a long and extensive career on stage and on film.
