Jocelyn Brando (November 18, 1919 – November 27, 2005) was an American character actress with rare film appearances. She appeared in the movies The Ugly American (1963) and The Chase (1966) with her brother, Marlon Brando.
She debuted on Broadway before her brother, appearing in Arnold Sungaard's ill-fated The First Crocus which ran for only five performances in January 1942. Her best-known role on Broadway was as the leading female nurse in the predominantly male cast of Mister Roberts.
Her film debut came in the 1953 war movie China Venture with Edmond O'Brien and Barry Sullivan. Her best-known movie role was detective Glenn Ford's murdered wife in the 1953 gangster melodrama The Big Heat. Other featured movie roles were in The Explosive Generation (1961), Bus Riley's Back in Town (1965), Why Would I Lie? (1980) and Mommie Dearest (1981).
She played the recurring role of Mrs. Reeves on the prime-time TV soap Dallas in 1979. Other popular TV series that featured her work include Richard Diamond, Private Detective, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Wagon Train, The Virginian, Little House on the Prairie and Kojak.
