Jockstocks is a unique fantasy sports game as it's a stock simulation combining 6 professional sports into one game.

Game Description

- Jockstocks is a web-based sports stock simulation that is free to play. Real athletes from 6 professional sports are listed as fictitious stocks. Each stock receives projections based on their own recent performance in categories pertinent to the sport/position they play. Stock prices move up and down from members buying and selling shares. Members buy and sell shares according to the daily stock dividends they expect stocks to receive. So the game involves growing your portfolio as large and as fast as possible.
- Jockstocks involves an understanding of how the various stock dividends are calculated (i.e. If one baseball player hits a 3 run home run, a hockey player scores a power play goal, or a NASCAR driver wins a race, which of them receives the largest dividend?).
- There are many aspects of the game that give young and old an education on how the real markets function.
- Jockstocks began in 2002 starting out with just a Pick'em contest for members while the stock game was being built. Pick'em still continues as an additional competition members can get involved in.
- Additional side contests come up regularly and members even have the chance to earn the right to choose what athletes get listed.

Game Expansion

- Jockstocks has always had large scale plans for its development but attaining ample funding to make the expansions have been elusive.
- Additional features would include expanded leaderboards, custom competition interfaces, and Pick 10 competitions which would allow the more casual members the ability to compete on a more level playing field.
- Extended expansions would including adding more sports, creating versions designed for other parts of the world, adding more market features to further enhance the educational aspect of the game, even moving into more traditional fantasy games as well as adding information portals.
