Joe is a 1970 film about the relationship between a construction worker, the title character (Peter Boyle, "Young Frankenstein," TV's "Everybody Loves Raymond") and a business executive (Dennis Patrick, "Dallas"), while searching for the latter's missing hippie daughter.
The film was directed by Rocky's John G. Avilsen, and was a reaction to the counterculture movies of the time.[[Citing sources citation needed]]
