Joseph Calleja (November 9, 1974 – November 16, 2000), better known as Joe C. was an American rapper. He became popular as part of Kid Rock's band, after the two met at one of Rock's concerts earlier in their careers.
Joe C. was born in Taylor, Michigan. He released his first album with Kid Rock in 1998, with Devil Without a Cause. Joe C. has also appeared on such television shows as ‘The Simpsons’ and was subject as a celebrity death match competitor on MTV’s ‘Celebrity Deathmatch, both of these particular appearances occurred in 2000.
He had developed coeliac disease, which stunted his growth at 3 ft 9 in (114 cm). The disease also required numerous pills every day and dialysis. He died from complications of the disease in 2000 in his home in Taylor.
