Johanna Pena-Alvarez is a professional female boxer. Born on January 6th 1983 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Pena-Alvarez is a world class flyweight (112 pounds). Pena-Alvarez made her pro debut at the age of seventeen, on June 29 2000, winning a 2nd round TKO over Natali Lara. She won her second pro bout, before losing a 6-round unanimous decision to Gisselle Salandy on August 8 2000. Pena-Alvarez would go 12-0-1 in her next 13 fights, before losing a 10-round decision to WIBF Flyweight Champion Regina Halmich on January 17 2004 in Germany. Johanna would return to the ring on March 19 2004, fighting to a 6-round draw with Delia Gonzalez. in her next fight, Pena-Alvarez lost a 6-round unanimous decision to future WIBA Flyweight Champion Melinda Cooper. Pena-Alvarez' record is 15-3-2 with 10 KOs.
