John Huston Finley

John Huston Finley (October 19, 1863 – 1940) was the president of Knox College, serving from 1892 until 1899 and editor of the New York Times in the 1920s and 1930s.
He was born in 1863 in Grand Ridge, Illinois. He graduated Knox College and later served as the college's president from 1892 until 1899. He was then the president of City College, a part of the City University of New York, from 1903 until 1913. He also served as the editor of the New York Times in the 1920s and 1930s.
