Joseph H. Vicari serves on the Ocean County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders. Vicari has served on the Board of Chosen Freeholders since 1981.
Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari has been an active supporter of tourism, consumers, education and the local business community in Ocean County. He is a former principal with the Brick Township Board of Education and a past Mayor of Dover Township.
Vicari has been responsible for the development of programs such as the "Buy in Ocean County" program and the Business Help Fair, he has sponsored events such as the Tourism Expo and has provided two Lyme Disease seminars to help promote prevention, awareness and treatment of the disease in Ocean County, and was a driving force in Ocean County's powerful public relations department, which blankets local media with dozens of press releases and photo-ops every week.
