Joshua Chibi Dariye (b. 27 July 1957) assumed office as the 3rd democratically elected Governor of Plateau State, Nigeria on 29 May 1999 on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He was re-elected for another 4-year tenure effective from May 2003.

Born on the 27th July 1957 in Horop, Mushere, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria, Joshua Dariye holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, and a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified/Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also Fellow, Association of Business Executives (USA), Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Member, Nigeria Institute of Management, Member, Nigeria Institute of Personnel Management, Member, Institute of Bankers and Member, Nigeria Institute of Management Consultants.

Some of the positions held by Chief Dariye before he became Executive Governor include: Audit Manager, Pannell Kerr Forster & Company (Chartered Accountants), Chief Accountant/Company Secretary, Plateau Publishing Company Limited, Chief Inspector/Head of Inspectorate Division, Lion Bank Plc, Nigeria, General Manager (Finance & Personnel), Benue Cement Company Plc, Director, Composite Finance Ltd, President/Chief Executive, Nanret Investment Company Ltd, Principal Consultant, Nanpe Investment Ltd (Financial & Management Consultants), and Partner, Joshua Dariye & Company (Chartered Accountants).

He was a strong mobilizer for the election of President Olusegun Obasanjo in the People's Democratic Party Primaries in 1999 as well as Obasanjo's re-election in 2003. At a regional level, he has alternately chaired the Governors' forum of the States in Northern Nigeria.

Joshua Dariye is married to Valentina and together they have four children.
