Juicy girl
Encyclopedia : J : JU : JUI : Juicy girl
A juicy girl is a woman, typically young and pretty, who works in a bar or nightclub in South Korea and is paid by customers to sit and talk with them. They are so called because patrons pay for their time by purchasing drinks of juice for them. The girls are typically from Southeast Asian countries, especially the Philippines, and it is believed that many of them are trafficked into Korea and held against their will. It is common for all of the girls at a particular establishment to live in the same small apartment, and some report that their passports are taken from them.
Juicy girls are often associated with prostitution and the practice of a bar fine is not uncommmon: a patron can pay the bar owner some amount of money, which technically is for the girl to have the rest of the evening off, but many customers assume it is for the woman's company with them. Establishments with juicy girls are typically found near United States military installations, as (male) US servicemembers are the primary clientele, though the purchase of a bar fine is a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
American servicemen occasionally marry juicy girls[link] though the number has fallen in recent years.
