Julia Jentsch (born February 20, 1978 in Berlin) is a German actress.
Julia was born to a family of lawyers and began her acting education at a high school for drama in Berlin. Her first prominent screen role was in the 2004 film The Edukators, starring opposite Daniel Brühl. She garnered further attention playing the title role in the 2005 film, Sophie Scholl – Die letzten Tage. In an interview, Jentsch said that the role was "an honour".
