Julian Koster

Julian Koster is a popular multi-instrumentalist of the Elephant 6 Collective. He is the leader of American indie bands Chocolate USA, The Music Tapes, Major Organ and the Adding Machine, and a former member of seminal indie legends Neutral Milk Hotel. Koster also joined the Olivia Tremor Control upon their 2005 reformation for a few select shows and appeared on many releases related to the Elephant 6 Collective. The instruments he is usually credited to are the singing saw, the accordion, the synthesizer, the banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass. He also appeared in the movie The Station Agent as a banjo player.
