Jund Filastin

Jund Filastin (Arabic جند فلسطين, "the military district of Palestine") was a sub-province of the early Arab Caliphate, organized soon after the Arab conquest of the 630s, and persisting in some form until the Turkish invasions and Crusades of the late 11th century. It basically included the Palestine/Israel/Jordan area south of modern Afula and Irbid.
